888 Casino (888casino) — a review of the official site, bonuses and payouts for players from Ukraine in 2026
888 Casino — one of the oldest online casinos in the world: the brand has been operating since 1997, belongs to the publicly listed company evoke plc and holds three licences — from Gibraltar, Malta and the United Kingdom. 888 Casino is not licensed for Ukraine and does not accept players from Ukrainian IP addresses. This review covers the current terms of 888 casino online as of October 2026: the owner, bonuses, games, payout times, the app, and an honest answer to the question of what a player from Ukraine should do.

Does 888 Casino work in Ukraine in 2026?
No. Ukraine is on 888 Casino's list of restricted countries together with Russia, Poland and France: registration from Ukrainian IP addresses and with Ukrainian passport details is blocked at the operator level. The brand has never received a Ukrainian licence.
On the Ukrainian side, the market is overseen by the State Agency PlayCity, set up by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 314 of 21 March 2025 to replace the abolished KRAIL. In its first two weeks the agency referred 824 illegal websites for blocking, and in 2024 Ukraine blocked 4,460 casino domains and removed 118 apps from the App Store and Google Play. The 888casino.com domain is on the register of blocked resources, so most Ukrainian internet providers do not open it.
Legal gambling in Ukraine is only possible at the 14 casinos licensed by PlayCity, from the age of 21, with identity verification before the first deposit and a 23% tax on winnings (18% personal income tax and 5% military levy). Winnings at international casinos without a Ukrainian licence are not subject to these rules, but the player has no state protection either.
Who owns 888 Casino: evoke and the Bally's Intralot deal
The casino was launched by Virtual Holdings Limited in 1997, and in 2005 the company listed on the London Stock Exchange as 888 Holdings. In 2022 it bought the British bookmaker William Hill for £1.95 billion, and in May 2024 it changed its name to evoke plc to bring the 888casino, 888poker, 888sport, William Hill and Mr Green brands under a single parent brand.
On 5 June 2026, evoke agreed to a takeover by the Bally's Intralot group for £243 million. Shareholders approved the deal on 17 August 2026, with completion scheduled for late 2026 — early 2027. For players this means a change of ultimate owner, but not of licences: all three licences are held by subsidiaries and remain in force. In 2025 evoke posted £1.78 billion in revenue and a net loss of £549 million — it was the debt burden that pushed the company towards a sale.
The official 888 Casino website: interface, languages, sections
The official website runs on the 888casino.com domain. The design is dark, with green and white accents. The top menu has tabs for the casino, live games, poker and betting — you switch between products without logging in again. The left-hand panel opens the game categories, the login and registration buttons sit in the top right corner, and the cashier button leads to payments.
The site is available in 12 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. There is no Ukrainian version. Customer support works in English.
Awards
- Casino Operator of the Year — EGR Operator Awards 2013, 2019, 2021;
- Casino Operator of the Year — Gaming Intelligence Awards 2015;
- Digital Operator of the Year — Global Gaming Awards 2014.
Registering at 888 Casino
The registration button is in the top right corner. The sign-up form has three screens:
- First name, last name, date of birth, country of residence, email.
- Username, password and a security question for recovering access.
- Address, postcode, phone number and account currency — EUR, USD, GBP or CAD.
After the third step the system logs the player in automatically. The email address is confirmed via the link in the email, the phone number — with an SMS code in the profile settings. Countries on the restricted list are screened out on the first screen.
Account verification
Verification is mandatory before the first withdrawal. The cashier has a verification tab where you upload two documents: a passport or ID card and proof of address — a bank statement or utility bill no older than three months. The check takes up to 48 hours. The details in the documents must match the sign-up form, otherwise the account is blocked until the matter is resolved.
Logging in to 888 Casino
One account works for the casino, poker and betting — 888 casino login gives access to all three products with a single balance. How to log in:
- Open 888casino.com and click the login button (Log in) in the top right corner.
- Enter the username or email and the password from your sign-up form.
- Confirm the login with an SMS code if two-factor authentication is enabled.
- To switch between the casino, poker and betting, use the tabs in the top menu — there is no need to log in again.
Password recovery — via the “Forgot password” link under the login form; the email is sent to the address from your sign-up form. Detailed instructions with typical errors are on the 888 Casino login page.
888 Casino mirror
888 Casino has no official mirrors. The Gibraltar, Malta and UK licences are tied to specific domains, and the operator does not create alternative addresses to get around blocks. The regional sites 888casino.es, 888casino.it, 888casino.dk and 888casino.ro — are separate licensed versions for their own countries, not mirrors. Any site calling itself a “working 888 mirror” belongs to third parties and harvests logins and payment details. How to tell phishing from the official site — on the 888 Casino mirror page.
888 Casino bonuses
All promotions are collected in the promotions section of the site, which is also where every current 888 casino bonus is published. A new player chooses one of two welcome offers; both are activated within 48 hours of the deposit via a pop-up window or the “My offers” section.

For players who have deposited €10 or more, the Daily Wish wheel runs every day: one spin a day with a prize of free spins, bonus money or cashback. The Jackpot Drop promotion adds €0.10 to every round in marked slots and builds a daily jackpot. Promo codes for weekly promotions arrive by email and are entered in the promo code field on the deposit page.
888 no deposit bonus
888 Casino has no no-deposit bonus: the Daily Wish wheel only spins after a deposit. The only no-deposit gift in the brand's ecosystem is the $88 poker bonus at 888poker: $8 is credited right after verification, and the remaining $80 is released in $8 instalments for accumulated status points. It can only be used at the poker tables; the funds cannot be transferred to the casino. The terms are described in detail in the 888 poker review.
VIP club
The loyalty programme is invitation-only: the management assesses turnover over three months and sends an offer by email. Members get a personal manager, higher withdrawal limits, weekly cashback of up to 15%, invitations to sporting events and fast-track processing of requests within 24 hours.
888 Casino games
The catalogue has over 2,000 games. The Slots tab holds around 1,500 machines from Pragmatic Play, Games Global, Playtech, Red Tiger, Hacksaw Gaming, Yggdrasil and NetEnt. The in-house studio Section 8 has released over 36 exclusive slots, including 888 Megaways and Buffalo Cash Wheels — they are not available at any other casino. Filters sort games by volatility, provider, and whether they have a jackpot or bonus rounds.
The Live Casino section brings together tables from the operator's own studios and Playtech: European and Lightning roulette, blackjack, baccarat, Casino Hold'em and game shows. Separate tabs cover jackpots with progressive prizes and table games with automated roulette and blackjack. All slots open in demo mode without registration; the demo balance is 1,000 play credits.

All transactions go through the cashier: the deposit tab for top-ups, the withdrawal tab for payouts. Account currencies — EUR, USD, GBP, CAD. The minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal — €10. How to withdraw:
- Complete verification in the relevant cashier tab — without it the request will not be accepted.
- Wager any active bonuses or cancel them in the offers section: withdrawals are blocked while a bonus is active.
- In the cashier, open the withdrawal tab, choose the method you deposited with and enter an amount from €10.
- Wait for the request to be reviewed, which takes 1–3 business days; during this period you can cancel it and return the money to your balance.
- Once approved, the funds reach your payment method within the times shown in the table below.

There are no hryvnia accounts: a payment from a Ukrainian card is converted into the account currency at the issuing bank's rate. Transfers between the casino, poker and betting are instant in the transfers tab.
888 Casino mobile version and app
The 888 casino app exists for iPhone, iPad and Android: it is rated 4.5 on the App Store and 4.1 on Google Play. In the Ukrainian versions of the stores the app has been removed at the request of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, so it cannot be installed from a Ukrainian Apple or Google account. The operator does not publish APK files on third-party sites — such files contain malicious code or a phishing login form.
The mobile version of the site opens in the phone's browser and mirrors the desktop functionality: the cashier, bonuses, live tables and support chat. For quick access it can be saved to the home screen via the browser menu.
The 888 ecosystem: casino, poker, betting
Three products operate under the 888 brand with a single account and a shared wallet. 888poker — a poker room since 2002 with cash games, SNAP, BLAST and the XL tournament series; it is the one that gives the $88 no-deposit bonus. 888sport — a bookmaker with ~32 sports, live betting and cash-out, aimed mainly at the UK market. None of the three products has a Ukrainian licence, and their status for Ukraine is the same — a restricted country. Reviews: 888 poker, 888 betting.
Reliability: licences, fines, reviews
The international version of the casino is run by Virtual Global Digital Services Ltd under Gibraltar licences No. 112 and 113. European countries are served by Virtual Digital Services Ltd under Malta licence MGA/CRP/121/2006-09. The British market — by 888 UK Limited under UK Gambling Commission licence No. 39028. The random number generator is certified by iTech Labs, and financial statements are published on the London Stock Exchange.
The history of fines shows that regulators keep an eye on the operator: £7.8 million in 2017 because self-excluded players kept access to betting, £9.4 million in 2022 for breaches of anti-money-laundering procedures, and two fines in 2025 of £33,075 and £86,843 for failures in account handling. All fines have been paid and the licences retained.
In player reviews the casino is praised for fast payouts to e-wallets, a stable live section and fair crediting of bonuses. Complaints concern three things: the x40 wagering, slow withdrawals to cards and bank accounts taking up to 10 days, and canned replies from the support chat. There is not a single confirmed complaint about non-payment of winnings on a verified account.
Customer support
Support is available around the clock via chat on the website and in the app. The email address is [email protected], and replies arrive within 24 hours. The help centre has guides on registration, bonuses and payments. Communication is in English; Russian is supported only in the cashier and verification forms.

Verdict: our 888 Casino rating and who it suits
888 Casino is a reliable European operator with a transparent ownership structure, three serious licences and a library of two thousand games. Its bonus terms are average for the market: the x40 wagering requirement on the deposit bonus is higher than the typical x30–x35 at licensed casinos in Ukraine. A withdrawal to a card takes up to five days after the request has been reviewed.
For a player from Ukraine the brand has three drawbacks: it has no licence from the state regulator PlayCity, Ukraine is on the operator's list of restricted countries, and the 888casino.com domain is on the blocking register. The review is therefore useful for those who already have an 888 account from the days of legal access, those who play from abroad, or those comparing international brands with Ukrainian ones. A new player from Ukraine will not be able to register at 888 Casino.
Don't mix them up: 888casino and casinos with “888” in the name
Dragon 888, Marvel Casino 888, 888starz, Kometa 888 and Admiral 888 — are separate operators with no connection to evoke plc. They operate under Curacao licences or without a licence, do not belong to any European jurisdiction and share neither a wallet, an account nor a bonus programme with 888casino.
